WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation is getting more than $118,000 in a federal historic preservation grant.

Oregon’s U.S. Sens. Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden recently announced the National Park Service is awarding a total of $1,697,354 in Historic Preservation Fund investments to help preserve treasured historical and cultural places in the state. These investments include $1,161,729 for state and local preservation grants and $535,625 in tribal preservation grants going to seven federally recognized tribes in Oregon:
