MISSION — The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation concluded its annual summit and elections last week for its two youth leadership councils
During the event Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 21 and 22, at Wildhorse Resort & Casino, Mission, the councils elected Weptas Brockie, junior at Nixyaawii Community School, as the Senior Youth Council chair. Joining him in leadership, Awna’ee Najera, a newcomer from Helix Middle School, is the new Junior Youth Council chair.
