ARRESTED:
Medina, Jeffery Louis 61-year-old resident of Veneta
NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:
On August 15th, 2022, Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to the 3200 block of Gateway Street in Springfield regarding an assault. Officers made contact with a female victim who had sustained injuries to her face. A second female victim who had already been transported to Riverbend Hospital was also located by Officers. The second victim received treatment for wounds to her face and head.
Officers interviewed the two victims, along with witnesses who were contacted at the scene of the incident. Evidence was gathered by Officers that aided in identifying the suspect as Jeffery Louis Medina.
Detectives were able to locate Medina at his home in Veneta on August 17th, 2022. Medina was taken into custody without incident. Medina was transported to and lodged at Lane County Jail.
