LA GRANDE — Breaking ground on Eastern Oregon University’s Grand Staircase project has been delayed.
The school has announced it will not break ground this year after initial bids from contractors for the work were not in line with project goals. School officials are working with stakeholders on a plan to realign the project timeline and scope to reissue a competitive bid process later in 2023. The goal now is to complete the new Grand Staircase by late 2024.
