ELGIN — A pair of Elgin residents face charges after an early morning altercation last month in Elgin.
According to a Wednesday, Aug. 2, press release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Elgin Mayor Stanley “James” Johnson was cited in lieu of lodging on charges of fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct for his role in a fight at Elgin Station Bar and Grill, 52 N. Eighth St., on Tuesday, July 28.
