At 6:33 a.m. on February 28, Eugene Police responded to a shots fired call near Beltline Hwy. and Roosevelt Boulevard. While officers were on the way, dispatch updated information to them that no shots were fired, but a fire had started near a set of propane tanks and they had exploded.
 
 Upon arrival, they saw Eugene Springfield Fire was in the process of extinguishing the fire from the Beltline overpass and requested EPD block traffic in that direction. 

 After extinguishing the fire, it was found a small structure being used a shelter had caught fire. It was a substantial wooden hut with a single stove in the middle. There were no signs of an intentional fire. Case 23-3034
