At approximately 4 a.m. on January 1, Eugene Police and Eugene Springfield Fire were called to a single-vehicle crash into a power pole at Roosevelt Boulevard and Fergus Road. The driver and sole occupant, a man in his 30s, was found deceased.
It appeared the vehicle was going east on Roosevelt Boulevard and veered off the roadway and stuck the traffic light pole at the northeast corner of the intersection. EPD Major Collision Investigation team responded for a crash investigation.
