Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire is on scene of a house fire in West Eugene. Firefighters were notified of the fire at 4:41 PM Saturday May 25th. Arriving to 3794 West 18th Ave 4 minutes later, Firefighters from the Bailey Hill station on E10 reported heavy smoke and fire from a back bedroom. People and pets were able to escape the home prior to our arrival. Crews initiated an interior search for remaining victims and to attack the fire which had already extended to the attic of the home. The building and contents suffered extensive damage but there were no injuries reported and fire is under investigation.
