PENDLETON — The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners is putting another puzzle piece into place for the further economic development of the former Umatilla Army Depot — fire protection.
The board at is meeting Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Pendleton, set a public hearing on a petition from the Columbia Development Authority to annex the depot property into Umatilla County Fire District No. 1. County counsel Doug Olson said the hearing would take place at the board’s second meeting in November.
