PENDLETON — The Pendleton Development Commission voted to award four new downtown businesses with Path to Success grants, making a last-minute decision at the advice of the committee to up the number of awards from three to four.
“The Path to Success committee would like to recommend that we approve four rather than just three winners for the competition,” PDC Associate Director Charles Denight said in the July 18 PDC meeting. “The committee felt that four had outstanding presentations both on the amount of work they put in their business plans, as well as the experience the owners bring to the table.”
