Green, 50,000-year-orbit comet to approach Earth into February

Skywatchers will have a chance over the next couple weeks to try to glimpse an incredibly rare visitor to the inner solar system.

A comet with an unusual green hue is swinging away from the sun as its arc makes it increasingly visible from Earth.
