HERMISTON — Hermiston not only has a new city park under development, but it also has a name for the park.
The Hermiston City Council at its meeting May 8 voted unanimously to name the new park Horizon Park. It sits in the Legacy Development, off East Bella Vista Avenue and Northeast Sixth Street. The 1-acre park was dedicated to the city by the developer, MonteVista Homes, with agreements to install landscaping, irrigation and other park amenities.
