LCSO Case #24-0275 – Death Investigation related to House Fire
On January 19th at about 4:30 am, deputies and fire personnel responded to a house fire in the 32000 block of Green Acres Loop. Fire personnel transported one fire victim who survived to the hospital with burn injuries. Another victim of the fire was located deceased inside the residence. The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but may have been related to a generator that was running inside the garage of the residence. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents to always run generators outside, and follow manufacturer’s recommendations when connecting electrical equipment.
