The Morrow Board of Commissioners plans to declare a local state of emergency related to water quality. The declaration will be made at a meeting today, June 9, at 3 p.m.

The declaration empowers Morrow commissioners to act as an emergency management agency, work toward improving water quality and coordinate with state and federal government agencies.

The meeting is at the Bartholomew Building, 110 N. Court St., Heppner, in the Upper Conference Room. The meeting is open to the public.
