PENDLETON — Neighbor 2 Neighbor Pendleton is preparing to open the Pendleton Warming Station on Wednesday, Nov. 15, as a congregate temporary shelter.

The Warming Station provides overnight accommodations for those facing homelessness during the winter months when the potential for hypothermia is elevated. Neighbor 2 Neighbor in a press release Nov. 10 reported this will be the first time in three winters the warming station has been open as a congregate shelter, meaning the station houses its guests in common sleeping areas with staff present to provide services and manage the operation.
