LA GRANDE — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued permits to kill two wolves of the Five Points Pack after three recent depredations in Union and Umatilla counties.

According to ODFW, investigations July 7 and 11 determined wolves injured one 5-month-old calf and killed another 5-month-old calf in the Five Points Creek area in Union County, and an investigation July 12 found the same pack injured a 5-month-old calf in Umatilla County.
