At 11:47 a.m. today, October 13, a man in a mask handed a Downtown Ambassador a note that included a bomb threat. This was around 43-Block E. Broadway Avenue.  The person who handed over the note, later identified as Immanuel Menelik Williams, age 37, then left westbound on Broadway. Williams was then reported to be waving a gun around near Buy 2. Multiple officers and detectives responded quickly and located Williams as he was exiting a store. They quickly detained him. Although it was found there was no bomb, Williams was found to have a realistic-looking, replica bb handgun. He was transported to Lane County Jail where he was lodged on Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree and Trespassing.
