Oregon State freshman Sarah Haendiges dug out of a bases-loaded, seventh-inning jam as the No. 3-seeded Beavers edged No. 2 Ohio State 4-3 Friday at the NCAA softball Knoxville Regional.
After the Buckeyes loaded the bases with two hits and a walk in the bottom of the seventh, Haendiges set down the final three Ohio State hitters, the final two by strikeout, to help the Beavers advance in the winner’s bracket.
