At 7:30 p.m. on February 21, callers reported a pedestrian had been lying in the middle of traffic at Beltline and W. 11th Avenue before he was hit by a Mazda. The driver remained on scene and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Traffic was shut down from Beltline to Danebo in both directions.
EPD’s Major Collision Investigation team is investigating.
