PENDLETON — The Pendleton City Council heard encouraging news from the public works department Tuesday night, Dec. 19, focusing on city streets for improvement in 2024.

“They talked about projects that are coming up,” City Manager Robb Corbett said. “One of them we’re going to do is Northwest Despain Avenue, and then we’re also going to do some work on North Main Street. There are a lot of people interested in getting North Main repaired. Then there’s also Franklin Grade Road, in the southeast part of town. There’s a new apartment complex being constructed there right now.”
