PENDLETON — The Pendleton Development Commission voted at its Tuesday, Feb. 21 meeting to commit $1.5 million in urban renewal funds completely to repave pothole-pocked Southeast Third Street from the railroad tracks to the river.

The city is already working to replace the century-old water pipes along Third Street. The question was whether to deplete the PDC’s urban renewal dollars or take the cost out of the street or general fund, thus delaying other projects.
