PENDLETON — The Pendleton Police Department now can act faster to remove derelict or abandoned vehicles from city streets.

The city council at its meeting Tuesday night, Oct. 10, approved Ordinance 4004, which decreases the duration for parking on a public space from 72 hours to 48 hours, and reduces the time from when police tag a vehicle for removal and have it towed from 14 days to three days.
