The 2022 Prefontaine Classic began Friday night with several thrilling distance races and a few field events, but the bulk of the meet’s events are set for Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene.

Some of the sport’s biggest stars will be at Hayward as 16 events unfold Saturday in the meet that honors legendary track star Steve Prefontaine.
