Renters at Grant County affordable housing complexes say new lease agreements go too far

JOHN DAY — Renters are often faced with a dilemma when seeking housing: How many rules and regulations are they willing to put up with?

For Terry Cubero, a six-year resident of the Canyon City Duplexes, that limit has come and gone on the heels of an updated lease agreement imposed by the Northeast Oregon Housing Authority that went into effect on July 1.
