LA GRANDE — Eric Valentine continues to make an inspiring recovery.
Valentine, 80, sustained fractures to his neck, back and ankle in a 65-foot fall five months ago while hiking on Copper Creek Trail in Hells Canyon. Surgeons operated on Valentine’s neck on May 7, the day after he fell, and on his leg and knee the next day.
