Salmon return to McKay Creek near Pendleton after 30 years

PENDLETON — Salmon are spawning for the first time in nearly 30 years in McKay Creek, a tributary of the Umatilla River near Pendleton.

The spawning is the result of the partial removal of a fish weir, according to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
