PENDLETON — The current snowfall is causing road closures on I-84 east of Pendleton.
Oregon Department of Transportation has advised through a news release I-84 is closed in both directions between Exit 216, seven miles east of Pendleton, and Exit 265, four miles east of La Grande, due to low visibility caused by blowing and drifting snow. Multiple vehicles spun out at milepost 246-247 westbound. Crews and tow vehicles are on site, and closure is expected to last several hours. ODOT is encouraging travelers to stay home and stay safe until conditions improve.
