LA GRANDE — As of 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, the Oregon Department of Forestry will terminate fire season for forestlands protected by the Northeast Oregon District, officials said.

According to an ODF release, this includes more than 2 million acres of private, state, county, municipal and tribal lands protected by the ODF.
