PENDLETON — Evan Rummerfeld has joined the East Oregonian for a summer internship as a reporter covering news and events in Pendleton and the surrounding area.
He joined the staff in May to job shadow reporters, and Monday, June 19, was his first day of work as a reporter. An English teacher at Pendleton High School, Rummerfield, 26, said he has always had a deep love for reading, writing and language arts, and after teaching several classes on journalistic writing during the last few years, he decided he wanted to try it for himself.
