Tanner Smith’s bat gave Oregon a comfortable lead and Kolby Somers ensured the Ducks were able to hold onto it in a series-opening win over Arizona.

Smith homered twice and drove in four runs and Somers got back-to-back strikeouts with the bases loaded in the eighth and completed a 1.2 inning save as the Ducks defeated the Wildcats, 10-4, Thursday night at PK Park.
