  • A FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 1AM UNTIL 8 AM TUESDAY FOR THE KLAMATH BASIN, NORTHERN AND EASTERN KLAMATH COUNTY, WESTERN LAKE COUNTY, AND CENTRAL AND EASTERN LAKE COUNTY.

HEALTH ADVISORIES

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough  (“U” shape) over the Pacific Northwest will keep up the chances for rain. The graphics for days 1-3  show no frontal systems approaching the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7  Thursday through Monday show no major frontal systems moving into Oregon.

Forecast For The South Willamette Valley Including Eugene-Springfield:

  • Mostly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of evening showers and thunderstorms, a good (50%) of showers late tonight (0.10 in. of rain possible, more in storms),
  • Mostly cloudy and a bit warmer with a good (50%) chance of showers Tuesday (under 0.10 in. of rain possible), just partly cloudy Tuesday night,
  • Partly cloudy and warmer Wednesday (Summer Solstice 7:57 am), mostly clear at night,
  • Sunny and a bit warmer Thursday, then mostly clear Thursday night.
