  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN

  • Upper Level High Pressure (“Arch” shape) is now moving toward us. An atmospheric river will be aimed at us bringing rain. The graphics for days 1-3  show the a complex frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest Saturday with another following behind it. The graphics for days 3-7   Tuesday through Saturday show a cold front moving in Monday and a complex frontal system will be pushing toward the coast next Friday.
  • Note: Don’t forget to turn your clocks back tonight at bedtime. Standard time begins officially at 2 am Sunday. We Fall Back! Also, the authorities say you should check your Smoke Alarm, CO2 Alarm, and your Radon Alarm to make sure the batteries are still charged. Replace if necessary.
