THE WEATHER PATTERN

  • An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) continues giving us above normal temperatures. The graphics for days 1-3 show no frontal systems near Oregon. The graphics for days 3-7  Sunday through Thursday show no frontal systems approaching the Pacific Northwest until a cold front positions itself offshore to our northwest early Monday to push through and fall apart by late in the day into Tuesday. Then a front will be just offshore next Thursday.
  • With wildfires, one to the north near the Columbia River in Washington and the other to our southeast The Cedar Creek fire, we can expect intrusions of smoke on and off for the foreseeable future.
