A RECREATIONAL HEALTH ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS AROUND EAGLE RIDGE COUNTY PARK IN UPPER KLAMATH LAKE IN KLAMATH COUNTY DUE THE PRESENCE OF A CYANOBACTERIA (BLUE-GREEN ALGAE) BLOOM AND CYANOTOXINS ABOVE RECREATIONAL USE VALUES FOR HUMAN EXPOSURE. PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID SWIMMING AND HIGH-SPEED WATER ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WATER SKIING OR POWER BOATING, IN AREAS OF THE LAKE WHERE BLOOMS ARE, AS THE MAJOR RISK OF EXPOSURE IS FROM INGESTING WATER. THE WEATHER PATTERN

The Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) strengthens again for warmup that is a real heat wave. The graphics for days 1-3 show no frontal systems attempting to move southward into Oregon. The graphics for days 3-7 Tuesday through Saturday show a frontal system pushing into the Pacific Northwest Tuesday and another front moving through next Thursday.
