  • A FROST ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM UNTIL 8AM TODAY FOR THE BENTON COUNTY LOWLANDS, THE LINN COUNTY LOWLANDS, THE LANE COUNTY LOWLANDS. THE CASCADE FOOTHILLS OF OF MARION AND LINN COUNTIES, AND THE LANE COUNTY CASCADE FOOTHILLS.
  • A FROST ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM UNTIL 8AM TODAY FOR THE UPPER HOOD RIVER VALLEY.

HEALTH ADVISORIES

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN:

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape ) is approaching the West Coast bringing unsettled weather. The graphics for days 1-3  show a frontal  system moving into Oregon Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7   Thursday through Monday show a cold front that will push into the Pacific Northwest Friday and Friday night. A complex frontal system will be well to our Northwest next Monday.

Forecast For The South Willamette Valley Including Eugene-Springfield:

  • Sunny and a bit warmer today, mostly clear tonight,
  • Mostly sunny with a (40%) of AM rain, mostly cloudy and a bit cooler with a (40%) chance of rain Tuesday afternoon (under 0.10 in. of rain possible), mostly cloudy with showers likely (70%) at night (under 0.10 in. of rain possible), patchy fog late,
  • A mix of clouds and sun with a good (50%) chance of showers Wednesday, then partly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of showers Wednesday night.
  • highs 68-63 lows 42-48 cooling to 43 Tuesday night.
