  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN:

  • An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) strengthens again bringing more sunshine. The graphics for days 1-3  show no frontal systems moving through Oregon. The graphics for days 3-7    Monday through Friday show a frontal system will be moving through Oregon next Tuesday.

  • Sunny and a bit warmer today, mostly clear tonight,
  • A mix of clouds and sun Saturday, mostly cloudy in the evening, partly cloudy late at night,
  • Mostly sunny Sunday, then mostly clear Sunday night.
  • highs near 82 lows 52-54 cooling back to 52 Sunday night.
  • Mostly sunny Monday, clear Monday night,
  • Sunny Tuesday, clear at night.
  • Then sunny and a bit warmer Wednesday and Thursday (Independence Day), clear Thursday night,
