PENDLETON — Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 now has full authority to take on blazes on Columbia Development Authority property on the former Umatilla Army Depot near Hermiston.
The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners at its meeting Wednesday, Nov. 8, approved the fire district annexing 5,600 acres of the site.
