HERMISTON — The group working to create a trail 25-mile-long trail connecting Umatilla, Hermiston, Stanfield and Echo is chasing a pile of state funds.
The Oregon Department of Transportation has approved the Umatilla River Trail Implementing Committee’s preapplication for an Oregon Community Pathways Grant of $6.2 million to create the first portion of the Umatilla River Trail.
