LA GRANDE — U.S. Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley said Friday, June 16, that all 36 Oregon counties, including Union County, will receive more than $27 million collectively this year from the federal Payments in Lieu of Taxes program that helps to cover the costs of important local services.
Union County is slated to receive more than $1.3 million, while Wallowa County will receive just over $660,000.
