Several callers to 911 had reported a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Beltline, eastbound in the westbound lanes. The vehicle going the wrong way crashed head on into another vehicle traveling westbound, just west of Division Avenue. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was deceased on scene. The driver of the westbound vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Traffic Advisory – Beltline WB Closed at Delta
The Eugene Police Department is advising motorists to avoid the area of Beltline WB west of Delta due to a motor vehicle accident. The highway will be closed for the next several hours and motorists are urged to use alternative routes of travel.
