MISSION — The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation on Tuesday, June 18, welcomed three organizations to Tamastslikt Cultural Institute, to discuss agricultural equity, especially in Native American communities.

Officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Wallowa Resources and the Native American Agriculture Fund discussed ways to promote Native practices and increase access to agriculture throughout the day during the USDA Regional Equity Convening and reported the progress the USDA has made to improve the experience of tribal and rural communities in agriculture.
