Wolves killed four calves in Baker County earlier in October, according to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW).
In the first investigation, on Oct. 7, ODFW biologists determined that wolves, not part of a known pack, killed two 8-month-old wolves in the Burnt River Canyon southeast of Baker City.
